Daniel Tidd accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of eight. He attended Indiana Baptist College from 1979–1981 while serving full-time as youth pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Indianapolis.

In April 1985, Bro. Tidd founded Lighthouse Baptist Church of Indianapolis with a strong emphasis on soul-winning and a desire to be a place of refuge for those seeking the Lord. After forty years of faithful service, he stepped down as senior pastor in April 2025. During his tenure, countless lives were impacted, and thirty-five men and women went out from Lighthouse Baptist Church into full-time Christian service around the world.

Pastor Tidd also served for sixteen years on the Board of Directors of Heartland Baptist Bible College and for eight years as moderator and assistant moderator of the Global Independent Baptist Fellowship, encouraging pastors nationwide to remain faithful to God’s calling.

He has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 46 years. They have two daughters and eight grandchildren, all actively serving the Lord. Bro. Tidd continues to serve as Pastor Emeritus at Lighthouse Baptist Church and remains active in preaching and teaching across the country.

His life verse is 1 Timothy 1:12:

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”
